70's, 80's or DISCO Dance Parties!
Many people believe the most fun dance music without question is from the 70’s and 80’s era. At wedding receptions, this is the music that does the best at filling the dance floor for ALL ages. It’s more danceable than classic rock. It has a lively beat that beckons one to move their feet, not just their booty as in hip-hop or rap. It has FUN lyrics as opposed to country music. The 70’s and 80’s gave us bright colors, bell bottoms, wide lapels, high heels (stacks), funky hats, disco lighting, fog oozing across the dance floor, and lots of funky rhythms to show off our dance moves. In the 70s and 80s, people hit the dance clubs with excitement while dancing, turning, and spinning to music that simply said, “Dance!”
